Is the MCSE+Security Specialization worth it?

I can get it by taking only one extra exam but I'm really skeptical about its worth in the real world.

What do you think?

For only one more exam, it's worth it. It will look good on your resume/cv.

Not all, but those who are looking for someone with security skills, it will stand out. And the security specialization might just be the reason why you get the job instead of that other guy who's 'just' an mcse.

I would say that it's clearly worth it if you don't have the word "security" currently in a title in your resume.

M$ currently has a student discount for their cert exams at $60US each (reduced from $125US), and you can retake a failed exam for free. This offer is good through Jan 31, 2005.
