router on a stick - 1721 possible ?

Hi, Is it possible to set up “router on a stick” with c1721 ?

Both the real & dynamips ones say;

Router(config-subif)#encapsulation dot1q 5 native
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

1721 doesn't have a gigabit ethernet, cisco manual says it supports 802.3. I'm using Version 12.3(13) fc2

Sounds like you're using the wrong IOS Feature set image; you need ip plus.

Thanks, what version should i use ? and how to identify this ip plus version ?.

this invalid input is marked after "encapsulation", if i hit tab after "encap", it becomes "encapsulation", but if i use "encapsulation ?", it says "% Unrecognized command".

Sho version.

Just post it here. For the record my routers are 1721s running 12.4 advanced and it works just fine.

IOS C1700 Software (C1700-K903SY7-M), Version 12.3(13), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

^^^ right now i don't have access to the real router, this is from dynamips.
