Im finishing up my ccna and wanted to get everyone's opionon on the equipment i have and if it will be sufficient for the ccnp. I was planning on using gns3 along with what i have. Please give me your feedback on upgrades, new equimpment, WIC's etc that will improve my current set up, or do you think what i have is enough. Thanks!

    Check this site out for comparing IOS's. From my understanding, you almost have to have 12.4T... and if I am not mistaken, 2610xm's don't support it (I may be wrong).

    That 3750 is effin' nice.

    Other than that what you can't do with your current routers can be done with dynamips.

    Here's a breakdown of what I used:

    BSCI = dynamips with up to 20 router topologies
    BCMSN = 2x3550, 2x2950, 1x3640
    TSHOOT = 2x3550, 2x2950, dynamips for the routers, and also the IPv6 stuff

    +1 for this recommendation. You got everything you need, whatever you lack hardware wise just make it up with Dynamips. You will be fine. Tie it into your current equipment and plug away icon_thumright.gif

    Yea i got lucky with the 3750, wish i had one more..of course..haha. As far as the IOS, is 12.4T necessary? it does look like the 2610xm does support 12.4(15)T13, this is what i found on cisco's site:

    ADVANCED ENTERPRISE SERVICES

    Minimum Memory: DRAM:256 MB Flash:48 MB

    or

    ADVANCED IP SERVICES
    c2600-advipservicesk9-mz.124-15.T13.bin
    Release Date: 09/Apr/2010

    Do you have enough flash? Those 48MB modules are real tough to come by. Worst case - boot the IOS off of a TFTP server. I had to do this in my original voice lab to save space and it worked fine.
