I'm currently follwing the cisco journey but i'm doing diploma in computer engineering as well . but i'm thinking of quiting diploma all together and just follow the cisco journey. but will i be gurantee a job with just cisco ??? as a Network Engineer

No such thing Im affraid, no substitue for experience, you can have all the Certs you want on paper. Sure Cisco certs are a bonus because they are well respected and have to be renewed every 3 years (2 for specialist). So I wouldnt quit your diploma if I were you! try to get your foot in the door as they say. I have CCNA, CCDA and nearly completed my CCNP and have been doing Network engineering in the military for almost 7 years now and I am applying for Civilian jobs so I can leave the military and no dice as yet!

You are definately NOT going to be guarenteed a job with just Cisco certs. It is sometimes quite difficult for people to enter IT with both certs and a degree.

I'm not saying it's not possible, as it most certainly is. However, your chances are higher if you've got a degree as well. It depends on your situation though. Why are you thinking about quitting school to puruse Cisco certs?

Don't quit on the diploma... there is no real benefit to NOT having one..

Guess what I have decided to give it a shot this coming semester , I will finish the Diploma in computer network engineering next year july , thanks for your input guys I appreciate it.I have quitted architecture within 2 weeks I get my money back of course rather jumping from course to course I should face this challenge and finish it I think ,Hopefully I will get a job with this who knows.2 year diploma maybe after I would pursue degree but better to get job afterwards and get experience.
