I studied about 3 or 4 weeks but I had a lot of hardware PC experience beforehand. No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -

Thank you!
I have a decent amount of experience so I'm hoping I can get certified by the end of August. I'm graduating with my B.S. in IT in December so I'm looking to get the A+, Net+, and Sec+ done before I graduate. -

It does help if you have some extensive experience with computers, whether it be recreational or professional.-Michael Palmer

Let me clarify that this was per test, so about a month for the whole package. But this was also for the 2006 version of the test, and I had bundles of prior knowledge from experience and college classes.Decide what to be and go be it. -
tomahawkeer Member Posts: 179I just started studying for A+ yesterday. Ive been going Through Lab Sim, and about to start the 3rd section. Ive got lots of experience, so im going to try to bull doze through both exams within the next month. I should have 701 finished by the end of this week (study wise) and focus on 702 next, and then review and schedule the test. Im not too worried, its all good.

Michael.J.Palmer Member Posts: 407 ■■■□□□□□□□I will warn doing what I did however, I studied for only two weeks and then tested on both on the same day. Take some time off between the exams, I did it because I was used to bull dozing through hundreds of questions at a time via the practice tests I had at my disposal but in all reality, even with that I was still exhausted beyond belief after I stepped out from finishing the 702. I took both basically back to back as well, only with a half hour in between the time I finished the first and started the second.-Michael Palmer
