I just received the NM-8A/S module for my 2620 router. I installed it and powered on the router, and the module's led turns on, as well.
When I logged in, and execute the command show ip int brief, the only interface I can see is the fa0/0 of the 2620.
Btw, the router does not have any config at all.
Did I get a faulty module again?
Here some part of the bootup of the my 2620
Here is the show diag:

Optionstiersten Member Posts: 4,505Try reseating the NM. If that doesn't work then try the NM in another router. Cisco lists the NM-8A/S as being supported in all IOS versions so it isn't that.

Optionsthehourman Member Posts: 723Ok, I tried to reseat the module, but I still getting the same problem.
I put the module on my other 2620 and it is working now.
Also, how do I check if the router interface is faulty on 2511 router?
EDIT:
When I plugged the serial cable on 2511 s1 to nm-8a/s on 2620(dce) everything works; but when I moved the dte to s0 on 2511, the interface goes down down. I know that is physical issue.
The cable works on 2511 s1, but not on s0. The ip subnet I used is 192.168.10.0/24.
The only thing I could think of is the 2511 s0 interface is faulty.
I'm gonna try to ping my WICs let see if that works.Studying:

Optionsnotgoing2fail Member Posts: 1,138Dude are you serious? Maybe there's a problem with the router?
There is no way we are going through this again! LOL!!! -
Optionsthehourman Member Posts: 723The 1st router has problem, because when I moved the module to the other 2620 it worked.
Anyways is there a command to check if my 2511 s0 is working?
It looks like it working but the when it is connected to other router it always down/down.
I just want to make sure that the serial0 is dead.Studying:
