I'm in need of some help. I got a switch that is locked , can I do password recovery.Thanks in advance

Yes you can.

While booting it, hold down the Mode button. After about 20 seconds, let it go and the switch will load you to the

switch:

prompt

Issue the following commands

flash_init
load_helper

then type

delete flash:config.text

then type boot


That should load you into a lear configuration. You might also want to do a dir flash: and if files like vlan.dat or snmpengineid exist, delete them, or you can do that from the regular CLI once you've booted the router
