Areas I'm having trouble
I'm having a lot of trouble learning card and socket/slot connectors. Can somebody reccommend a good tutorial or give me some tips on remembering this stuff?

If you don't have experience working with the hw, it can be tough. A good way to get a sense of what different motherboards with different hardware look like is to go to a manufacturer's website and look at their spec sheets, which often have full diagrams and can be filtered by socket/slot time.They usually have archived content as well.
