CISSP before SSCP OK?

i only ask b/c there is a new SSCP official guide coming out in Dec. i hate to wait that long to do anything....or is the current one still valid? the reviews seem to be mixed. could i get the ball rolling with the CISSP first?

You can use both the current SSCP guide and the CISSP guide to study for the SSCP exam. Just make sure to only study the parts of the CISSP CBK that overlap with the SSCP CBK. Other posts in this forum detail the differences.
