Passed ICND1!

in CCNA & CCENT
Hi all.

I passed icnd1 yesterday with a score of 850/804. Was sure i was going to fail it, was so nervous and just after clicking on 'start exam' the pc crashed, it nearly broke me! :)
Happily it had crashed just before the survey and not actual test so i didn't lose any time.

I just hope I'll still be able to do the ICND2 after killing all those brain cells celebrating last night :D

    Thanks guys.

    As I've never worked in a cisco environment I found it difficult to get my head around the WAN stuff.

    So my advice to anyone doing ICND1 is if you have the official cert guides to have a look at some of the point-to-point and frame relay topics for ICND2 as well, because just getting a quick overview over wan technologies can be very confusing for those of us coming from the 'small company vpn over dsl world'.

    Good Luck with ICND2!! icon_study.gif The more hands on Lab Practice you do for ICND2, the easier it will be.

    Maybe less hard but I wouldn't use the word "easier."

    Either way you look at it, you work for it you'll get it. Congrats on becoming a CCENT!!!!

    LOL! I felt the same. I remember with about 10 questions left I had to fight off the urge just to quickly hit random answers to get the exam over with cause I was certain I'd already failed. I'm glad I fought it off. icon_lol.gif

    I agree with previous posters; labbing is quite a bit more important with ICND2; between frame relay and ipv6 (and ospf/eigrp to a lesser extent), there's a lot of information, and being able to apply it in practice definitely helps.

    Excellent! The labs were definately my favorite part when preparing for the exam. I may ask you guys to step up to the witness box when I try to convince my wife that i need a couple of extra 2620's and an asa 5505 (so i can do lab work remotely ofcourse!) :)

    "Implement a small routed network" apparently :) My score was at 73%. Will be reading up on those chapters before before I start on my ICND2. Also got 89% on implement ip addressing scheme. The other five parts were all 100% :D
