i have a stinging question .. i'm almost at my cut off and would like some opinions on which testing route to take 2 test or 1 test? i have been studying on a pretty regular schedule.. i'm doing very well on transcender and some of the online tests i take as well.. running a little low on the test out test sim but otherwise i feel pretty good. i'm comfortable with ACL, VLAN, subnetting, router/switch configs, LAN/WAN stuff and the other areas.. i been hitting the areas where i feel i'm weak in constantly and getting those up.

Drakonblayde Member Posts: 542If you're ready to take it all at once, take the one exam option, it's cheaper for one, and gets it out of the way. It's really a matter of what you're comfortable with. If you think you're ready for everything at once, take the 801. Otherwise take the 811 and 821= Marcus Drakonblayde

Nocturnal Member Posts: 44 ■■□□□□□□□□I'm holding off due to a few uncertainties with ISDN, Frame Relay, and 1900 vs 2900 commands....every time I thing I've got it, I get hosed on the switchport truck interface subcommand and vlan database....the funny thing is, it probably won't even be in the test I take, but I want to now it inside and out, so I'm holding off until March. I don't like spending money for nothing and I haven't failed a cert test yet....never been inside a casino!!
Here's an omen for you: if you know how often routers exchange LMI information with a Frame Relay switch, then go for it!!!

fusebox Member Posts: 87 ■■□□□□□□□□All the best Keenon,
A question about booking, do we need some sort of Cisco ID before we book?? I read somewhere that we do but im not sure. Hope im wrong and its nothing complicated.
Also in the test itself, what can we take in/cant take in etc??Im a newbie.... please be easy on me. -
sbenjamin Member Posts: 10 ■□□□□□□□□□I think you only need a cisco ID if you have already taken a Cisco test before.

Hmm So how does one go about getting this Cisco ID? or is it a case of you getting the ID supplied to you when you book for the test?
Thanks in advance. Btw Keenon how did your test go??Im a newbie.... please be easy on me. -
Drakonblayde Member Posts: 542If you don't have one, the first time you register for an exam, you'll get one. The only thing I had to supply was my academy connection ID, and that for my discount voucher= Marcus Drakonblayde
