I was wondering this because I was thinking about buying one. I read the post "My Router Lab" http://www.techexams.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3349 which Webmaster talked about what he read from Cisco about the router. But, I was wondering if anyone as used it. I know from reading that the 16 port hub is interface e0 but was wondering when I take it out of the box and set an IP address to it will it work just like it has only has one ethernet port?
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks again.. -
Yozh Member Posts: 69 ■■□□□□□□□□Yes Just like the 2501. And as you said before you will connect 16 PC`s to it and they will be on hte same network as the E0 interface. Oh also there are features that you can configure for the hub. See Bellow
RT4.lab(config)#hub ether 0 1
RT4.lab(config-hub)#?
Hub configuration commands:
auto-polarity Enable automatic receiver polarity reversal
default Set a command to its defaults
exit Exit from hub configuration mode
help Description of the interactive help system
link-test Enable Link Test Function of Hub port
no Negate a command or set its defaults
shutdown Shutdown the selected port
snmp Modify SNMP parameters
source-address Enable Source Address control for Hub port
RT4.lab(config-hub)#
Each port is configurable. SO ou can do hub ether 0 1 - 16LIfe is hard, thats all I have to say.
