It's finally over...
After four attempts and a lot of disappointment it is finally over! I passed my CCIE SP Lab today at RTP! To top it all off, I'm going to Las Vegas with my wife next week! Woohoo!

Just curious, have you not updated your cert list, or did you really skip the CCIP and go right for the IE? -

a543047 Member Posts: 41 ■■□□□□□□□□Thanks guys for all the congrats! I started studying for the SP at the beginning of 2009 and my first attempt was Oct of 2009. For some crazy reason it was so difficult to find open slots for the SP so my attempts were months apart. Anyway, to answer Dynamik, yes I did skip the CCIP and went straight to the IE SP. I was initially planning on going for my IE Sec but instead will be going back for my degree in a few weeks. I can't stress enough that the CCIE is obtainable so don't give up!CCIE #22769

How did you study? Do you have hands on access to all the hardware, do rack rental, GNS3 + real switches?
Thanks!

DevilWAH Member Posts: 2,997 ■■■■■■■■□□Well done!!!! fantastic achivment
The CCIE seems to be a fair way off at the moment for me, every time I learn a bit more I find yet another area I want to expand out in to... And a 12week old is not helping much...
But I will be gettign one some day!!! (and not to distance future I hope)

a543047 Member Posts: 41 ■■□□□□□□□□Thanks again guys for the congratulations! As for my studying habit, I used dynamips along with ine and ipexpert. I think for the sp lab it is really important to also do the mini labs found on ccie18473.net. Otherwise, there is no magic formula, you just have to find what works for you. My immediate future is with my current employer and it will probably stay that way for some time. Good luck to the rest of the people labbing away, the end is near!CCIE #22769
