Hello I was just wondering how big the server infrastructure at your work place is, like how many physical/virtuals.

Just a few at my current job. My last job we had probably around 250 physical servers and probably 3-4 times that in virtual.

Total for the company, thousands. Total for my group, approx. 600. These are physicals... # of virtuals would probably blow my mind.

We have a ton, not sure how many as I'm network, not systems. I'd say 1k easily across our campus and another 3-500 across the remote sites. That's physical too, I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how many virtual servers we have.

I also support small businesses... among them all, probably 20 physical and double that in virtual.

16 physical servers in operation at my work place.

Several hundred enterprise wide. My group deals with only about 10 or so regularly. Mostly SQL Servers and SharePoint. I have only about 5 under my direct care. All virtual.

By the end of the year we should have only about 3 physical boxes dedicated to our group. All the servers will be virtualized at that point.
