In multicast lab ,I found an autorp mapping agent(just mapping agent ,no local rp config )can't learn RP from itself .
How to solve this problem , and I can't configure "set protocols pim rp auto-rp discovery" with "set protocols pim rp auto-rp mapping" at same time
am using 8.5S3.... does anybody encouter similar issue.

People here simply try to help and not after one's favor ... in terms of OK
As far as your question concerned, to learn RP "from itself" this RP has to be configured "on itself", as a minimum. Then, mapping already implies discovery which means when you type 'auto-rp discovery' you enable announce, discover and mapping. -
