Question on Deployment for 70-680 exam

Ok guys.....first of all I have no on the job experience in Networking hardware/support, or desktop support/config. I am an old Mainframe guy. I got my Comptia Net+ / Sec+ last
year. I finished the 70-680 Panek Study Guide, and am presently on Chapter 3 of the MS press book> Deploying Images. There is a lot of text in this chapter regarding command line info and appends. It has become pretty overwhelming. Anyway, regarding the 680 test, would I be better served by concentrating on the Technet Deployment material & labs? From reading other posts, it seems there is a good bit of attention on the test regarding Deployment. Any other ideas? Thanks

p.s. I already have a heads up on the syntax and grammatical errors in the press book

I will give it to you straight, the deployment chapter in the Microsoft Press Book is a absolute horrendous mess, It is all over the place not concise and is full of errors. I wouldn't recommend the Sybex book either I own both the Sybex book seems to be seriously lacking in content.

I have heard that the review lessons in the MS Press book clear up things a bit better, but all I can recommend doing is reading through the chapter slowly in conjunction with reading the errata thread.

There are a few decent videos on youtube with explain Deployment much better then the POS Microsoft book does.

I used the 70-685 MS Press to supplement the 680 book by MS Press. This combination helped a lot.

If you can, watch the Learn Key vids for the 680, especially for deployment, you'll get more useful information that way then out of the MS book.
