Data Center Inventory Software
BroadcastStorm
Hey Guys, I am looking for a solution that can run a sweep/inventory of the server hardwares in our data center, that can generate serial numbers/hardware model/vendor/memory/ip address would be nice too.
I've been doing an inventory manually but this task is tedious process...
Thanks!

PowerShell script
Or Spiceworks, though I'm not a fan of it.

I've used spicework before, might try it again.
This inventory is harder than troubleshooting complex issues lol :P

I'm not versed with powershell scripts, little commands before but we're not using exchange 07 or 08 servers yet
but I can configure it if it gives me what I need, please give me more details when you get a chance...

PowerShell is like batch scripts on steroids. As long as you have the PowerShell extensions installed on the clients, the script can run with admin credentials and grab whatever you need it to. Google for powershell inventory scripts. There's plenty that you can hack up for your purposes. VB scripts can also do what you need, as all that information is available via WMI.
