It looks like overwwelming amount of members here are studying by themselves. however does anyone have a recommendation on a good onsite or even virtual program? Although I'm not working in the IT field right now, I'm pretty familiar with a computer. however it would be nice to do some hands-on training combined with practice exams, ect.

I think a virtual program would still be self-study in a sense. You might want to check with your local community college; there seems to be a transition towards gearing networking/admin classes towards certification objectives rather than general concepts. Its cheap and usually effective.

I went back to my local comm. college this last semester and took part in the Cisco Networking Academy which was not offered when I initially arrived at the college for my first 60 credits.
