Just Passed the 70-640

in MCTS / MCITP on Windows 2008 General
Just got back and I passed the 70-640 with and 820. I mainly used TrainSignal and the Microsoft Press books.

I was wondering how the 70-642 compares to the 70-40 in terms of difficulty? Also, I have been reading the the CBT Nuggets seem to cover the material better. What is everyone's opinion on TrainSignal vs CBT Nuggets?

    I found 70-642 harder than 640 (the study) but is exam itself I found it easier but all in all I think they are almost equal in terms of difficulty. For me I used MS book and Sybex book and I got 950.

    I'm sorry I can't give you an advice on TS vs Nuggets though

    Congrats! I am also hoping to sit this exam in about two weeks. Without violating any rules, can you tells us what you thought about the exam? Were there any topics and/or questions that caught you off guard?

    The 640 is heavy on DNS so study the 642 DNS chapters if you have time.
    No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.

    Done! Reading those extra chapters helped a lot. I am in the process of re-reading some of the 640 book, completing some additional labs and pounding the practice test questions. I am using the SelfTest questions this week. MeasureUp next week.

    I am hoping to get my employer to purchase the Transcender practice questions for the 640, 642, 643 and 647. Supposedly, they have a little extra money left over for training that wasn't used during the last fiscal year. Cross your fingers!

    I passed the 83-640 back in May and used the CBT Nuggets videos. I haven't used Trainsignal at all, but I know for a fact that I will never take another exam without studying with the CBT Nuggets videos. I am currently studying for the 70-642 exam and will sit for it on 11/1.

    Cheekz - did you take the 70-640 or 83-630 exam?
