Anyone testing this release at the moment?

I have had it fired up in vmware for a few days. Will probably put it on my laptop to test the drivers under a newer kernel.

It's niccceeee.

Well I went ahead and put it on my Asus UL30a laptop last night. There is a nasty freeze issue that can only be disabled by turning off acpi features in grub boot loader. Which is annoying because then you lose support for power display, function keys etc.

Let's hope they will fix this issue.

This is my fear for a Linux desktop future. If everything worked out of the box and I didn't get control freezes on a close to release build, then it would be a dream to install that.

My mate has same laptop as me, using same release. It works for him fine, not for me. I reckon I need to check BIOS version!
