Failed 640 yesterday...

Well, I should have known better to take it in the first place. I just started my new job yesterday that has me getting to work by 7 AM (so I basically have to be up by 5:30 AM if I want to shower and eat before work) and literally drove an hour to test for the 640 immediately after work, so needless to say I was tired.
Anyways, enough for the excuses. I got a 675 so I probably missed a pass by one or two questions, just enough to drive a man crazy. To make matters worse, all of my areas were average or better with the exception of one (I don't have the score sheet in front of me, but I think it was something to do with configuring Active Directory Services). To make matters even worse beyond that, I did perfectly (the score bar was all the way across for it) on the Managing Active Directory. So this basically says that I more than likely know my stuff, I was just having a very off day.
I plan to re-test this Saturday as my class is already moving onto the 642 stuff. I'll be cramming the practice tests that I've got and look over the book and Exam Force stuff again. Likewise, I'll probably take the time to actually go through the modules on the Microsoft IT Academy E-Learning site... And there's always the LearnKey videos that I never got access to but should have... I could bug my instructors about that.
Either way my goal is to get a 900+ this Saturday just to show that it was a fluke. I'll update you guys on the score after I re-take it then.

I'm sure it was a fluke. Quite honestly though I used examforce and found it to be of no use for my studies. IT Academy helped as did the measureup that came with the book.
Good luck on your retake dude, bring back a win.No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -

Good luck on the next try! I never take an exam after work, always first thing in the morning. I don't even cram before the exam, I just look over my notes. I need my brain to be as sharp as possible going in for the exam. I take it first thing in the morning, and I usually have to burn some vacation time to do so.

First thing in the morning was a no-no since I have to be at work by 7 AM. Anyways, I actually didn't wait until Saturday, since I have class right across the hall from the test room I decided to just take it tonight since I felt well, I got a 900 this time around, so w00t! Actually the funny thing is, if I had gotten the set of questions I got this time around, I probably would have done much better on Monday as well.
I scored full strenght (strong bar is all the way across) on everything but Certificate Services (which I bombed on to be honest with you, so I'll work on that even though I passed). That's pretty good news since I banged into my head AD over the past six weeks. Time to move directly onto the 642.-Michael Palmer

In case you hadn't heard already be prepared for studying some of the new features particular to 2008 R2 since it's now fair game to be included on the tests.No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -

Congrats! I just passed today. I did very poorly on the CS questions as well. Some of the CS questions were insane hard. I don't believe the MS Press book properly prepares us for the questions related to CS. Oh well. I'll have to brush up on that section when I get a chance.
