Router doesn't respond to keyboard strokes

in CCNA & CCENT
Hi there ,
I'm trying to connect to my Access-Server through console cable using putty , the router boots fine but doesn't respond to keyboard strokes even a break doesn't help , i have tried so many devices and the same problem exist.I'm using the correct console settings . i'm searching for a solution since 12 days and i can find nothing, any help ??????

You mean *any* cisco device you've tried doesnt work?
Have you ruled out the rollover console cable you are using? -

yes other cisco devices and doesn't work and i have only one console cable which is new. -

If you have the right tools you can put a new end on the console cable. -

To eliminate putty as a possible culprit, try using hyperterminal or teraterm

And make sure you are set to

Parity : none
Stop bits : 1
Flow control : none
