I've been googling and have run accross a few conflicting search results. Is UDLD commonly used on copper media between switches or is it really only used on fiber?

"Copper ports are normally not susceptible to this type of issue, as they use Ethernet link pulses to monitor the link"

There is another thread around here discussing it and possibly how to get a copper connection connection configured to simulate an err-disable state when the protocol identifies a unidirectional link. Do a search on UDLD here to find it.
Also, Packet life forums had a very nice post on UDLD which should help.
