Hey guys and gals,
I'm looking for a solution to update flash, java, adobe reader, etc. Currently we use WSUS for windows updates, but I'm looking for a similar solution for these. I'm reading that you can update these using WSUS, but I'm not finding good documentation online on how to do it.
Anybody have any good ideas?
I also see this eminentware WSUS extensions, but I don't want to spend any money on this if at all possible. Currently, I'm going around and updating this manually. My users don't have local admin rights.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Subl1m1nal

Devilsbane Member Posts: 4,214 ■■■■■■■■□□You could use group policy to have them installed. I don't believe that WSUS will be a solution for you though. SCCM should do it too, but it is costly and a pain to install.Decide what to be and go be it.

I think I read somewhere that WSUS has an API that can handle 3rd party updates, but the only thing I could find is that eminentware deal.Currently Working On: 70-643 - Configuring Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure

I've used it, and love it. Also, Shavlik actually wrote the Windows Update software.
It's solid, easy to use and easy to manage!
