The SNIA Storage Networking Certification Program (SNCP) provides a vendor neutral storage certification that can be used to complement other vendor specific certifications.

There are 4 levels of SNIA certification. The professional level certification is the SNIA Certified Professional (SCP S10-100) The engineer level certification is the SNIA Certified Systems Engineer (SCSE S10-200 or 201) the expert level certification is the Certified Storage Networking Expert (SNSN-E) and the architect level certification is the Certified Storage Architect (SCA S10-300)

The SNIA Certified Professional (SCP) S10-100
Exam Costs $200US OR $225 outside US. Time limit to take this exam is 90 minutes, the passing score is 70% and consists of 73 questions.

The SNIA Storage Network Foundations exam (S10-100) tests the candidates’ knowledge of general Storage Network concepts and in the area of interoperability for storage networking. The test covers topics such as basic storage and storage network technologies including disk, SCSI, Fiber Channel, IP Storage, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), Virtualization, Data Management, Continuity Management and Storage Management (including SMI-S).

The SNIA Certified Systems Engineer (SCSE) S10-200 or 201
Exam Costs $200US OR $225 outside US. Time limit to take this exam is 90 minutes, the passing score is 65% and consists of 60 questions.

The SNIA Storage Networking Management/Administration exam (S10-200) tests the candidates’ knowledge of storage management and administration of a SAN. This test will cover topics for the day to day management and administration of a storage networking environment and data center. This test will also address performance, fiber channel security and fiber channel protocol change management.
