Either ECCouncil Certified Secutiry Specialist or CompTIA Security+

Hi,
I'm planning to write certification which covers entry level security jargons, while browsing I came to know about several organizations who provides these ceritfications like isc2.org, CompTIA, EC Council, GIAC etc.

I'm a developer, and wants to know about the all possible security jargons so that security domain point of view i should have enough knowledge to code effectively.

I found ceritifications like CompTIA Security+ and EC Council security certified specialist has enough content to get start into domain, suggest me whether i should go for CompTIA Security+ or ECCouncil Security Certified Specialist or any other good certifications.
