I liked Fist of the North Star, but that was about it and Akira....but we're talking like when I was a kid though (real real old school).
Technically, Voltron could be considered Anime. (And none of Voltron 3-D crap, I mean that old school one from the 80s.... I even liked Voltron II (yes yes, it definitely was nowhere near the Lions in coolness, but it was cool in it's own way nonetheless). -

The first anime I remember seeing was Prince Planet back in the early 1970's. After that it was Speed Racer and then Yamamoto.

Star Blazers movie, freakin awesome.
Macross (Robotech), Battle of the Planets, Astroboy, Voltron (both).
Then later Ranma, Kimagure Orange Road, City Hunter; Totoro and Kiki are still playing in my house, my 3 yr old loves it.
Lupin III, anyone?
