sem 3 practical test

just failed my ccna sem 3 practical today,

when connecting a switch to a router (trunk) is the switchport mode trunk command required?

we connected 2 switched via fa0/1 on both switches using a crossover cable and the switchport mode trunk command was used

its either
switchport trunk
trunk on i think for a 1900 series
