The exam was easier than I thought it would be. Scored 845.I was shoooting for 850.
Mostly used CBT Nuggets and one of Mr Gibsons books...but not the one everyone on here mentions.I did take a look at the Trainsignal but did not care for the instructor.
Studying for this makes me want to get into forensics.
Next up in the CompTia line... CTT+ while I work away at CCNA3.
BTW, I do these as a "hobby" .However I have been asked if I would be interested in teaching once my CCNA is done.

We'll know today! LOL...
Oh and congrats to you. I myself was a hobbyist before IT chose me to be a part of it's career. When it became "work", it no longer was fun, but I do enjoy the paycheck that comes with it. -

Not much..I did the beta exam and only had 4 days to prep.
I essently looked at the exam requirements and Wikipedia'd what I wanted to brush up on...I did not have time to even open the book we have our students study from(Axio Press) when they take that module.
I have no idea what the final live exam looks like, but on the beta there were questions that I mentioned to myself "they must be joking":) I found this exam way harder than the Sec+ and actually wrote it before A+(which I did not study for).

In most cases there is no charge for the beta.I did pay $100 for the Server+ beta.
Some beta's are invite, some are found just by doing queries at the right time and contacting the company for a voucher.
It's usually the first 400 to sign up get in. -
