Paperlantern wrote: » No not really! What i MEANT to say was Nov 4th! (I always do that with November and September for some reason, heh)
Paperlantern wrote: » Well, LIFE happened, a family member passed, and a few other things and I'm not where I want to be, I think I will be pushing it back a week, but that should be it.
Devilsbane wrote: » Sorry to hear that. It's ok to take some time off but it is really easy to take too much time off, so be careful.
Paperlantern wrote: » Yeah I know, thats why i figured one week would be good enough...
erpadmin wrote: » No dude, family is always #1. If you have to even take more time, won't be a bad deal, as you want to make sure you concentrate on the exam. Just do what you have to do; 12/31/2010 as of this post isn't here yet.
Paperlantern wrote: » Yeah I suppose you are right, Ive already postponed it to next friday, though now I dont know if I will make even that, again i still want the pressure of the date scheduled bearing down on me to motivate the studying, but I shouldn't forgo family visitations during this time just for the exam, and vice versa. i'll consider rescheduling again and perhaps pushing it back another few days or another week.
Paperlantern wrote: » As an update on my trek, i am taking the test tomorrow morning, im just sitting here reviewing some of the areas i missed on the final exam. Got an 88% on the final, up from 63% on the pre-assessment, probably will skim the 3 chapters i was weak in, 4, 7 and of course 9 and get a good nights sleep. I don't have to take the exam til 9am so that will be sleeping in for me, and I'll have lots of time in the morning for breakfast and light review. Hope to post a pass tomorrow morning.

Hypntick wrote: » Congrats on the pass. I'm in the same boat. Not sure where I want to go after Sec+.
N2IT wrote: » Me too With work and a potential job change and kids I am only realitically looking at getting Sec + at the dead line. And that will be with only 5 weeks of studying maybe only 4 so it will be cutting is close. I am wondering if it is worth the time, but I am going for it. I won't have A+ but you can't have it all. Anyway back to where to go I really don't know. I think I will stop certing and hopefully by then I'll be in a new job learning that instead. Current I am a remote desktop specialist and network analyst, I will be moving on to either a desktop support role, management/supervisor role, or supporting Production systems in a manufacturing environment. Out of those 3 2 of them will require at least 6 month of ramp up time. I think next year I might not even get one certification. I will be all about growing with the company.
