Hey all I've been asked to quote a network job, the customer is putting $250,000 worth of printing equipment and wants Cat 6 cabling and gigabit speeds. My concern is whether or not equipment designed for cat 5e will work flawlessly on cat 6? From what ive read an end tech should not terminate cat 6 that the factory should do this, is that true?

I terminate Cat6 all the time. You will need different RJ-45 ends to use with Cat6, for it is 23 awg wire as opposed to Cat5e's 24 awg.
