Hi,

Can ACL's be configured on a router and switch or are they solely router configuration?

Thanks

Depends on the type of switch. You won't get them on Layer 2 switches (at least, not to deal with traffic being forwarded through the switch), but Layer 3 ones you would be able to use standard and extended IP Access Lists.

Best way to think of it is IP Access Lists are for layer 3/IP functions. Layer 2 switches dont have much in the way of Layer 3 functions (besides being able to telnet/SSH to it, have a management IP etc).

you can use switchport access-list like mac access-list extended. Of course there is nothing so much to do with it.
