Im thinking about doing the A+ but already have a MCDST certificate. Can anyone confirm that the exams for A+ are not the same exams for MCDST and if its worthwhile going for an A+ aswell.

The A+ is supposed to be vendor neutral and pretty much is. I don't have the MCDST so I can't say for certain but since it is specifically Microsoft support it should be a lot different!
