Totally new contract, company, location. I'm happy to leave the current facility I am in.

About all I can say is I did security work. Sorry to be vague, but that's how it goes.

aha well I guess it's time to update this thread. I absolutely hated the job I got. It just wasn't a good fit for me, so I am currently in the process of getting another job. I'm pretty much just waiting for the written offer letter. This job will be doing some more hands on security testing.

This is a prime example of not burning your bridges. My old firm is hiring me back at a higher position.

Sorry to hear about the new job but congrats on the re-grab of the better job! Did you start out in security doing "GCIA" rotation work?

No, I had a bit of experience in security before I ever took the GCIA, or did anything packet capture related.
