YouTube - Mos Def feat. Pharoahe Monch & Nate Dogg - Oh No
Mos Def's lines (e.g. "while you were asking permission, I just stepped up and took it", "the kids better buy my rookie card now...") are pretty much how I try to assert myself in life. The message is clear; be assertive. Everything else about this particular song is just fun and is very good at getting one amped up. This song has got to be over 7 years old and the sad thing is, it is better than half the crap that's out there...(then again, I probably got old...lmao!)
FYI, this is Hip-Hop, and it is probably NSFW. -

I am all over the place musically. I listen to classical, jazz, metal, etc... Today, I am listening to Brahms, but I took a break to listen to that Rebecca Black song and almost gagged.
Here are a few videos regarding how much modern music has ripped off of classical, specifically one song:

It's not my favourite form of music, but I do love it, influences a lot of my own music. I drift towards to Baroque and either late Romantic or early 20th century eras, but all of it seems good in my eyes (even the serialist composers). The only ones I dont like are the modernist ones, like John Cage and those of a similar ilk, the ones where its more about forcing experimentation than about actually making music.Work In Progress: CCIE R&S Written

shaqazoolu Member Posts: 259 ■■■■□□□□□□My song of the moment is one of those that I've had for a long time but never really knew it was there. I queued up this album the other day and have been stuck on this one song ever since for some reason.
