I thought I wouldn’t pass, but I did!!!!!!!
I got 796 and the passing score is 720
There were a lot of questions that stumped me, and I hard to mark them so tha I could answer them at the end of the exam.
Thanks to earweed for posting tips as what to know like connectors, osi model, ports, and other things that were important to brush up on.
Thanks to everyone else for saying they passed, what they used, and their score. Just knowing that others passed before me gave em encouragement!!
Here is what I used:
• Lab sim Network+
• Mike Meyers passport Network+
• Exam cram Network+
• Measure up exam
• Free CompTIA Network+ Study Guide by MC MCSE
I tried u certify , but it didn’t do it for me on this exam
Time for security+ I already read up to 140 pages in his book. I’m scheduling the exam for the end of December

badboyeee Member Posts: 348Congrats! We almost got the same score.
I used Mike Meyers Passport book too. I just read it once and used the LearnKey CD (practice exam) it came with..
Used the same MC MCSE Study Guide and wrote all my notes on it.
The only difference was I watched a selected few of Messer's videos. I had access to other resources as well but didn't really use them.
Are you talking about Darril's Security+ book? If so, Ha! I'm around the same part of the book as well (middle of Chapter 3). AND I plan to take that exam end of Dec.2011 Certification Plans so far:
[Cisco: CCENT (ICND1)-> CCNA (ICND2)]
[MS: MCP-> MCDST-> MCTS / MCITP:ESDT7-> MCITP:EDA7]
Class taking:
[Cisco NetAcademy - Network Fundamentals (35%)]
Video currently watching:
[CBT Nuggets - CCENT w/ Jeremy (50%)]
[CBT Nuggets - 20-721 (40%) -

I scored a little higher using mainly the labsim but I had done a little (actually a lot) of googling on networking when I studied forthe CIW foundations exam at WGU but those exams were seperated by 1.5 years.No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives. -
