Hey,
Studying for the SEC+ from some study guides on the net. You guys have any advice? How hard is the test? Seems that a lot of it is just common sense. Then there are subjects that I am not familiar with at all, lol.
Thanks

mypcrepairguy Member Posts: 41 ■■□□□□□□□□I used Darrill's book and in all honesty this is all you need to pass sec+. I also did a measureUP test sim and they give you an included condensed study sheet. I felt that b/w the 2 sources this was enough to pass w/ only 3 weeks of studying.

I found the actuall test poorly worded. I spent my whole alloted 90 Minutes just going back and re-reading questions.
The questions were just worded soo confusingly that I do not think any of my study material could have prepared me for fully understanding the question.
Basically what I am saying is you will understand the question, but it will be worded soo bad that you will be looking at the answer choices thinking it could be any of the answers. I was surprised to see I passed after submitting. As someone stated on here, it was like some of the questions had been translated with Google translator or something.
All in all if you study the material, and know the objectives you should not have any problems.Currently Reading: Again to Carthage - CCNA/Security -

I really wonder how many questions are in the pool. I only ran across about 5 or 6 that left my scratching my head with the wording. Otherwise they looked to be worded similar to the Net+ or A+ tests.WGU BS:IT Completed June 30th 2012.
