Nov. 6, 2010 CISSP News...

Greetings earthlings...

I just called (ISC2) and they told me this...

"Due to US Government agencies increasing their budget for test takers, there has been an increase in exams for CISSP. The DOD 8570 compliance has added many end-of-the-year candidates so the results are taking longer than usual. Nov, 6th, 2010 is a very popular group. Please be patient and you should have your results in 7-10 days".

I didn't give him my name, he didn't ask.

Moe.

Ouch! They really need to work on their scoring system.
CISSP, CCSK, Sec+, AWS CSA/Developer/Sysops Admin Associate, AWS CSA Pro, ITILv3, Scrummaster, MS, BS, AS, 2nd place in the 6th grade spelling bee, All-District offensive line one year in HS, pretty handsome according to my mom.

I hope they do something about it.

It has nothing to do with the "score system" or the exam itself. This delay is caused by a sudden increase in the average number of certification candidates and the number of exams that need to be graded. The DoD deadline for (ISC)2 certification has created a last minute rush by procrastinators to get take their exam. It's not necessary to have your score by the end of 2010, but only to have taken the exam by then. Anybody failing will probably get an extension to take the exam again.

I am aware of everything that you have stated. The (ISC)2 personnel basically said the same thing.

I just want my results. I'm not under the gun like a lot of other candidates are. I just happened to leave Afghanistan in November and sat for the exam while I was home. If I have to take it again it wont be at the end of the year for sure.
