Server 2008 VPN question

I decided to try out setting up a VPN server on Server 2008, the thing is though that clients receive a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255 and don't receive a default gateway on the VPN connection, is this normal? (I read somewhere on a technet article that some DHCP options are not passed though to VPN clients.)

UPDATE: Apparently it is normal, I set back up my quick and dirty VPN and I get the same results.
