Adobe and Open Office on my Macbook not updating

So I have a Macbook (OS X 10.5.

where I run Open Office 3.1.0 and Adobe Reader 8.2.5 and when using that software, I get notifications that updates need to be installed.

So I run the updates and the icons that show the software never complete the update, they just hang.

I checked System Profiler logs and they don't show anything being installed software-wise.

Has anyone else run into this?

Not seen anything like that, have you tried downloading the latest DMG from the website to replace them?

I haven't, and I can try that next.

I was just trying to update the software from the software itself.
