Passed this morning

Silver BulletSilver Bullet Member Posts: 676 ■■■□□□□□□□
I have been really nervous about this exam because of all the comments about how hard this exam was.

I took it this morning and scored 907. All in all I didn't think it is that difficult as long as you really study.

As with all my exams, I used Sybex 2nd Edition and Practice Exam from this site.

290 or 291 next......any opinions?

I'd go for 290 first as it has a fair amount of overlap with the 270 exam.

    Thanks everyone!!!

I am sure that I have seen this posted somewhere in this forum but couldn't locate it just now. Prometric has acknowledged that I have passed on their website but Microsoft has not as I cannot log into M$ website with the "Location ID" provided on my score report.

    Thanks In Advance

You will get a welcome email from Microsoft that will have your MCP ID and login info. Usually get it in a few days after the test.

    :D Congrats Silver Bullet...

I was wondering if I could ask you this question:

Were there a lot of Windows 2003 related questions on the 70-270 exam?

I am enrolled in a Tech School (Pittsburgh Technical Institute) and it seems that my WinXP class (which I am 5 weeks into with 1 week left) has a lot of crossover information in it. We have been covering Active Directory on Server quite intensely and most of our discussions revolve around how things are done with 2003 Server. I know that it does all run together from XP through the end of my MCSE, but is the MCP exam really that 2003-heavy with questions?

Hopefully I will be posting my good news here in a few weeks when I take my 270 Exam, but I'm just not sure what to study for it besides all the practice exams I have and now this site.

    Thanks!

Were there a lot of Windows 2003 related questions on the 70-270 exam?

The questions that I had on the exam were mainly on permissions (NTFS and Share), Installation Methods and troubleshooting, IIS, Security, some on hardware devices and Network Protocols.

I don't remember seeing any Windows Server 2003 specific questions

    Hope this helps.
