How's your New Year's start going?
Besides being awakened to numerous txt messages by the bosses for the first 90 minutes or so of the day, its going well. GF brought me breakfast in bed early. Knocked out quite a bit of reading and studying on the Kindle, took a nap. Woke up and read one of my Christmas presents, Eagles - An American Band, from cover to cover. Nice way to spend a lazy day.

At least my new i7-950 system I built myself for an Xmas present is running fast and cool.

Well after a year of heavy studying for school and certifications, I promised my girlfriend no studying this weekend. Sunday we are taking my parents out to eat at the Machine Shed for Christmas.

Optionsehnde Member Posts: 1,103I began this New Year day by drilling a hole in my bedroom wall, crawling through the kitchen cabinets and under the house running Cat5e to a newly installed keystone jack in the living room for my lab. It took about 6 hours total. Basically I'm beginning the new year by getting my lab up and running finally!Climb a mountain, tell no one.

LOL I can relate. I had to take another nap when things were getting blurry. Tossing a steak on the grill, wash it down with a glass of wine, I'll be back at it again. -

going to have some dinner, maybe watch Inception for 99 cents on Amazon on Roku, and call it a night...
but tomorrow... I'm shooting for 3 to 4 chapters... maybe putting more space in between each chapter to give my eyes/brain a restCurrently Working On

We did have a nice dinner though so I'm satisfied (a little) -

Sick.
2011 for me is the start of truly living life and advancing my IT future. All my foundational studies have come to a head and this year will be a year dedicated to specialization and defining a direction for my career. -

That sounds just like me! I'm changing directions from Desktop Tech --to--> Networking, and pointing towards a career instead of just having a job. I think I'll be happy with networking and a little security.
Good luck with your future changes!
