So I went to my fourth interview at Cisco last week. Everything went well and sounds like they are going to offer me the job. They are hiring more than one candidate for the position and interviewing 3 other people than myself.
At the end they said they will followup with me by mid next week. Well this is the week. I assume Wednesday is "mid week" so should I not recieve a call Wednesday would it be overboard to followup Thursday? I got a 50% shot at this job!

Unless a job posting specifically says "No phone calls", I always find the phone number and see if I can speak with someone about the opportunity after applying. This shows them your interest and ambition that you really want the job. Especially that you're competing with other candidates. You obviously don't want to call them everyday or call them before the time they said they would get back to you, but if they said mid week they would get back to you and they do not, definitely call them on Thursday for a follow-up.Knowledge is being an Architect, no matter what field.....

Maybe if i don't hear anything I'll call end of day. Or too soon? Since today is officially mid-week. I'm really hoping 4 interviews and being professional, sending thank you notes and everything goes a long way.

Especially when going through a contracting agency. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

Ehh they did say they need the two positions filled like yestrerday. because they want the candidates to start next week. The "contracting agency" isn't really a traditional contracting agency either, small VAR that supplies custom servers to them and was asked to facilitate the contract for them. He was pretty insistent on bringing the two candidates on next week and that the PO has already been funded for the positions.
