Updating GPO templates

Greetings All,

Does anyone know a a decent step by step guide to updating a the gpo templates in an AD environment? Apparently our GPO templates are Windows 2000 based templates and they absolutely do not work with Windows 7. I want to get our templates current but I need an angle of attack.

Also for those of you who have dealt with it, how can you fix the default domain policy if someone has made changes to it?

I believe what you're looking for is dcgpofix for restoring the default domain policy.
