vSphere Snapshots + changed data

Always wondered .. when you hit "Snapshot" - at which point is the data included in the snapshot - the second you hit start or only once it is actually finished ?

The snapshot is created from the time you hit "create." The system will queue the changes that take place and apply them to the system after the snapshot is completed.

That's a nice bit of information! It's something I've pondered too. Did you read that somewhere or get it directly from a VMware tech?

I got that from the vSphere class I took last year. The instructor went over the entire snapshot process in detail.
