    For now:
Tuition reimbursement 18 credits per year (job related)
    Sick/Vac/Personal time off
Only pay 1.5% of salary for benifits
    OT
    Yearly pay raise
    14 paid holidays

    Thanks to Gov Christie's changes:
    Might loss tuition reimbursment
Pay 30% of cost of insurance
lost 30% of plan cost for not taking insurance (wife also works here)
OT is so over scrutinized no one wants to do it or deal with the paper work for it
No pay raises - Might lose some pay

And people wonder why people flee NJ....

    Laptop
    Dumb phone
    Education/Cert/Study material reimbursement
    Work from home bi-weekly
    Bonus depending on company goals

I did have internet reimbursement until this month. I was removed from on call so I don't get that anymore. Was definitely worth dropping on call though!

Being employed. That's about it. Seventy mile commute daily, 12hr shifts and a cramped workspace. That's all I get.

Dude, I see by your profile that you're in NOVA... where in god's name do you commute to?

    1. I earned management's trust, so I get to do what I want.

    2. Certifications reimbursement, and partner advantage trainings.

    3. Friendly customers/colleagues.

    4. Free Coffee/Tea.

    5. Good laptop.

    6. There's a team to do stuff like rack mounting for example, so we don't get into any labor work.

Previous: Most of the stuff you guys mentioned + buffet lunch and beer tap on fridays after 5. Free breakfast type of food all day.

Current: Aside from the basic ones like laptop/phone, what I like is the free training/boot camps for the whole week. Basically, we're getting paid to study.

I get a check, which I'm very thankful for! And they tend to leave me alone.

At this point, that's the only perk I get too. Also get to play around with phones, and soon hopefully, tablets, before they come to market. But I'm happy just getting the check at this point.

We get free tickets to major sport events in the Chicago area. Totally useless for me as i'm not into sports. I rather have the Flavia.

I would LOVE that perk. Are they hiring? LOL

Me too!! The benefits are weak, but the eye candy, and having a regular paycheck more than make up for it.

There's a free gym downstairs for employees, no wait I'm a contractor so I can't use it.

Still, better than my last place where we had to bring in our own teabags. Stupid govt job.

I was thinking about moving out that way... hows the IT market in the area? (Thinking about it now, I should post this in another separate thread too, as it's been on my mind a bit. Cheers)

Thanks!!!! Telecommuting will come soon since I have only been here for 3 going on 4 months...want to get into the groove of things icon_wink.gif I enjoy the atmosphere (for the most part) and all of my co-workers who are around me. The cert reimbursement was one thing I asked about upon initially hiring me icon_thumright.gif I wish they would give assistance for Masters degrees though, but only allow for B.S icon_silent.gif

    Pretty basic stuff.

    -6k a year for college
-Cert reimbursement (kind of have to convince it relates to your job, but pretty easy to do so)
-100% 401k match up to 4.5% but you have to put in 5% to get the 4.5% (not the greatest 401k plan)
-then like a basic medical/dental/vision deal (idk what it is, I only took dental and it's $1.70 a paycheck, I think the medical would of been like $68 a paycheck for myself and my wife and the vision was like $5 a paycheck.)
-1 floating holiday, 36hrs of PTO, 3.33hrs of vacation and like 1.5hrs of sick a paycheck, all federal holidays off

    other perks for me
    -5min bike ride to work
-get to see rocket launches up close

They have a cafeteria on site here. They have someone go pickup everything and bring it to the site. Most of the time, it is sandwiches, salad bar, chips, cookies, fruit, and some other goodies.
