I'm not looking for a new job. I love mine. But every now and again I go out to Dice or one of the other boards and look for SharePoint or SQL Server jobs to see what's going on.

Application Systems Admin jobs - Dice.com

MCP+I - Did that not get retired in like 2001? Otherwise, looks like a killer position.

Sounds perfect for a guy I used to work with. He was insanely proud of his MCP+I and kept it on all his cards and in his email signature. This was around 2007 or so!

I think everybody who had a valid MCP+I when it got retired could keep it though?

Yes, it's a life time cert. But not relevant, if you ask me.

HR just copying and pasting for a decade...

we're a tech company and until I asked my boss to reword the job posting we still had Windows 9x and NT listed.

Haha one of the sites I work with has a manager who puts their entire resume in their email signature and has this listed.
    CISSP | GCIH | CEH | CNDA | LPT | ECSA | CCENT | MCTS | A+ | Net+ | Sec+

    Next Up: Linux+/RHCSA, GCIA

Nope. If you're actually involved with Windows admin then I'd say seeing somebody listing MCP+I on a resume would do more to discourage you from hiring this person.
