Like one of the engineers here told me, you need to have a 4 dimensional view to understand networking. If theres a problem, you can troubleshoot by thinking is it the switch? router? firewall? voip gateways and gatekeepers? How will you understand that if you dont have CCNP and CCNP-sec?
