Hello tech people icon_cool.gif

Im currently studying for my A+, and i am currently working a helpdesk job. I really love it, and i learn something new every day.

After graduation (2012), and after alot of thought during some downtime today, I made the decision to get into the security/network side of IT. I have an idea of where i want to go with certs, but Id love you guys opinion.

I want to get my CompTIA trifecta (maybe even the Server + to go with it), then get the CCNA Security, then the CCNP Security.

What do you guys think? Is that somewhat feasible/does it make sense?

CCNP Security will certainly help you get into a Network security role.

Are you looking to go federal, or private?

I don't see much value in taking the server+ certification. The knowledge might help, but I would save the money for another cert.
