I used cisco press' books by wendell odem. They have been great for me. I haven't, however, read the one from sybex. -

On a related note, has anyone used the Official CCNA (Wendel's) second edition and then went with third edition?
I'm just curious if there are any major updates?A+

Check out the previews on Google Books and see which you prefer. They're both great books and which you'll prefer is entirely subjective. -

I would use both. I read the Odom book and I'm now using the Sybex for my studies. Combining the two is a winning combination in my mind. -

That's what I'm going to do, use both. I also have the CBTnuggets and maybe some other training videos, maybe testout?
I also have 3x 2950T's. 1x 1841, 1x 2501, and 4 2610xm's. Do you think my lab is suitable?2017 Certification Goals:

I wouldn't say there is a better. It's more of a preference thing. -
